Rules

Contests on World Fantasy Pools have one standard rule across any game type. You can only select a given athlete once per contest. Once selected, they will not be available for you to choose for the duration of the contest.
  • Users must advance to the final round and achieve the stat line in order to win their share of the prize pool.
  • User must choose an athlete to achieve the respective stat line in a given round.
  • If the chosen athlete achieves the stat line, the user will advance to the next round. If the chosen athlete does not achieve the stat line, the user will be eliminated from the pool.

WFP offers contests with and without Late Swap. For contests that do not offer late swap, all athlete selections will be final at the scheduled start time of the contest. That means no changes to your round selection can be made at this time. Example - You are looking to play an NFL contest and the first game in which players are eligible for selection in that contest starts at 8pm. You will need to enter that round selection by 7:59. If a contest offers late swap, selected athletes in your round can be edited until their scheduled game start time. You cannot swap your selected athlete after their respective game has started.
All contests, whether hosted by WFP or user generated, will have a predetermined prize pool and number of entrants. Any contest labeled as “Guaranteed” will always run and pay out regardless if the contest starts unfilled.
Some structured contests, however, require a specified number of participants. If that number of participants is not reached before the start of the contest, the contest will not take place and your entrance fee will be refunded. For example, a head to head contest cannot take place without 2 willing competitors and a 10-person contest will not be conducted with only 9 users. Once a Fill to play contest is filled, users will not be able to cancel their entry.
Users may cancel their entries by click the Cancel Entry button located at the bottom of the player select page. Users may not cancel an entry to a “Fill to Play” contest once that contest is fully registered. Users can cancel entries to non “Fill to play” games up to 15 minutes before the contest start time.
Contest athlete pools are derived from the games that are selected in that given round. If any athlete is traded or switches teams in some capacity while a contest is active, the athlete will be able to be selected under his new team. This only holds true if the athlete was not selected in any previous rounds.
We aim to settle contests and provide payments as quickly and accurately as possible. Most contests will be settled shortly after the last game finishes. This is due to us having to wait until all player statistics have been reported by our third party stats provider. This lets us ensure that the final box scores are complete and the contest resolutions are accurate. There may be last minute scoring changes if there is difficulty in obtaining official results or issues with scoring by our stats provider. This may cause the contest to have a delayed settlement.
